Description: The seascapes in this series emphasize contrast by using either complements or light and dark colors. They are acrylic washes, so reductive in their design that they border on the abstract.
The Summer 2019 “Sea and Sky” collection consists of acrylic paintings on paper featuring expressive cloud studies and minimal seascapes. These paintings are meant to call to mind the feeling of being in nature, near the water, in the warmest weather. Colors tend to be bright, and the mood uplifting.
